Sammath is an old black metal band. They were formed back in 1994 by Jan Kruitwagen in Australia and then they moved to Europe. I guess they carried their influences with them and that's why their black metal is so fast and raw.

I will tell you what i liked and what not in "Dodengang". I like the epic tone they have in their songs but i don't like their vocals at all. I like the structure of the songs which is very interesting but i don't like the production of this album. Ok, it's a black metal release but i think it could be much better. I like the fast tempo of the songs and the fact that there are no acoustic breaks, keyboards or stuff like that that don't fit to a raw black metal band but i don't like the performing of the drummer when he doesn't release furious blastbeats.

Overall this is an average release and recommended only to fans of raw black metal. If this is your preferred style of music then go ahead.
